What a wonderful day this was in spite of the cold, rainy, windy weather! It was inspiring to see hundreds of people show up to support this great cause, and we met so many wonderful people and made new friends! How can you not be humbled when you see people of all ages and walks of life, with varying health conditions...some in wheel chairs, .. soaking wet and cold, braving the elements to walk, run, or bike to raise money for research and support services!? AND NOT ONE COMPLAINT! A joyful, happy group of people gathered as they have done now for many, many years! It was astounding to have them thank us, for showing up to do this in the rain..REALLY..we thank YOU for being an inspiration to all of us who enjoy good health and do not have to deal with what these folks deal with daily! Bless you!
This was our first time volunteering for this event, and we were honored to be of service! We hope to see you all again next year.
